Welcome

Welcome to the Manchester South Central website for the Shaolin Kung Fu system Gao Can Mun Nam-Pai-Chuan. The purpose of this website is to present the Gao Can Mun Nam-Pai-Chuan system to those with an interest in the Martial Arts.

Short Intro

We are an established school, dedicated to a Martial Art system that has evolved from the Shaolin monasteries in China. Today, Nam-Pai-Chuan is taught and practiced at several locations in the UK and overseas, including Manchester. The system is taught  through a structured syllabus of traditional elements, including sparring, traditional forms (one-man and two-man), weapons, chi gung and a series of combat/self-defence sequences. Our approach to training not only promotes physical strength and endurance, but also requires sustained mental development, so that a student’s practical skill is well rooted in a firm understanding of the system’s philosophy.

Shaolin Gao Can Mun Nam-Pai-Chuan is a member of the British Council for Chinese Martial Arts (BCCMA), the controlling body for Chinese Martial Arts in the UK. Through the BCCMA we provide comprehensive insurance cover for all our students and instructors.

New Students

Sifu Nael teaches in Manchester, three sessions a week. New comers are welcome and can attend the beginner's session held on first Friday of every month. As part of an initial assessment period all probationary students must attend three consecutive training sessions demonstrating dedication, focus and stamina in their approach to the classes. The training fee for the first three assessment sessions is £21. ( £7 per session).

After completion of the assessment period a probationary student may be invited to join the club, at which point, should the student accept, membership fees become payable. To  book and register your interest, please use our online "registration form".
