Welcome

Welcome to the Manchester South Central website for the Shaolin Kung Fu system Gao Can Mun Nam-Pai-Chuan. We are an established school, dedicated to a Martial Art system that has evolved from the Shaolin monasteries in China. Today, Nam-Pai-Chuan is taught and practiced at several locations in the UK and overseas, including Manchester.

The system is taught through a structured syllabus of traditional elements, including sparring, traditional forms (one-man and two-man), weapons, chi gung and a series of combat/self-defence sequences. Our approach to training not only promotes physical strength and endurance, but also requires sustained mental development, so that a student’s practical skill is well rooted in a firm understanding of the system’s philosophy.

Shaolin Gao Can Mun Nam-Pai-Chuan is a member of the British Council for Chinese Martial Arts (BCCMA), the controlling body for Chinese Martial Arts in the UK. Through the BCCMA we provide comprehensive insurance cover for all our students and instructors.

New Students

We are always prepared to receive new students with varying or no experience. We have a broad range of students, all with varying degrees of ability, age and experience, but the main goal is to develop mentally, physically and spiritually. Many enjoy the challenge and rise to it.

Shaolin Gao Can Mun Nam-Pai-Chuan is a complex Martial Art with intricacies that take time and patience to perfect and can only be taught from an experienced master to a dedicated student.

Unlike some fitness classes where students are welcome to drop in when they like, we believe that in order to become a martial artist, regular training is essential and students should respect the value of the knowledge they are given.

Sifu Na’el teaches in Manchester South Central, three sessions per week. Only committed and dedicated students are accepted. If you think this is you, then you need to arrange an evaluative induction session before being fully accepted into the school. Please use our Contact form to book a session.
